The Lake West Residents Association (LWRA) is a community-driven organisation. It has worked for over 15 years to protect and uplift our neighbourhood. By joining together, residents have created a safer, cleaner, and more connected community that we can all be proud of.

LWRA was founded to tackle the growing threat of crime in our area. Over time, we’ve built and maintained a secure, boomed-off suburb with:
- Seven guard houses
- Dedicated patrols across public spaces
- 24/7 monitored access control
- Ongoing maintenance of infrastructure, insurance, and security systems
This shared investment helps guarantee our community remains one of the safest and most desirable in the region.

All residents are welcome — and encouraged — to become members.

🤔 LWRA vs Private Security
We often get asked about the difference between LWRA, Alpha 4 Protection, and private security companies:
- LWRA → Manages the overall community security (boom, guards, patrol vehicle, and area-wide infrastructure).
- Alpha 4 Protection → Our contracted partner responsible for guards and patrol management.
- Private Security Companies → Optional services you can hire for your home, alarms, and personal monitoring.
In short:
- LWRA protects the entire suburb.
- Private security protects individual homes.

Keeping the closure up and the community secure requires significant funding and resident involvement. If contributions decline, the boom gates and patrols can’t be maintained. This would leave our suburb exposed to the same crime levels affecting nearby areas.
