📝 How to Join
Joining is simple:
- Download the Mandate Letter by clicking on the download button below, or simply click on the link below to join up digitally
- Complete the Form
Fill in your details and indicate your consent to join LWRA. - Pay the Monthly Membership Fee of R650.00 (This is the standard fee for free standing homes)
- Your contribution funds:
- Security infrastructure and guards
- Patrol vehicles and equipment
- Maintenance of gates and guardhouses
- Insurance and community initiatives

If you currently live in a complex, please contact us at admin@lakewest.co.za to discuss your rates.
If you would like to be part of the solution, send us an email. Do this even if you can’t afford the full rate. We are happy to accommodate everyone. Please also bear in mind that paying the reduced rate does not allow you to get all the rewards. Full paying members are receiving all the rewards.
If you are running a business from home or have a large extended family living together, please consider inquiring about our Platinum Club.
Every contribution helps protect our community and ensures that Lake West remains a safe, welcoming place for everyone.
⚡ Benefits of Membership
- Lakewest is mandated to protect all public space security – roads, parks etc. Our security may not attend to private home security issues. We strongly advise that you sign up with one of the excellent armed response companies that are strongly supporte in our suburbs.
- Direct access to our Security Control Room and patrol cars in case of an emergency. This is via our VIP Crime Group
- You can request to be added to our VIP Notice Only group, where you will not be subject to random info and chats. To request this, please email admin@lakewest.co.za
- Being a part of the VIP chat group allows for interaction with your neighbours living in our suburb. You can get advice on all things relevant to us.
- Access to Tag system, which recognizes paying members with a device to automatically open booms for you
- Direct involvement in LWRA decisions and AGM voting
- Access to updates, newsletters, and event announcements
- Knowing your contributions make a tangible difference

Can I use private security as well?
We encourage all homes to engage with a registered armed response in our suburb to protect your private property. LWRA takes care of the public spaces in the area.
Is everyone eligible to join?
Membership is open to all residents of the enclosure subject to their complying with our MOI and payment fees.
