🚨 Security Alerts

27/08/2025
Dear Residents,
Our contract with Graphite Security Services comes to an end on 31 August.
We carefully evaluated the security companies that submitted quotes based on our requirements. After this evaluation, we have selected Alpha 4 Protection. They will take over the guarding of our booms and monitoring of the public space within Lakewest. The owners of Alpha 4 Protection have been actively monitoring the area as CPF members for many years. They established their own security company a little over a year ago. Their vision for the safety of our community is aligned with ours. Hence, we believe them to be the best fit for the task at hand.
We welcome Alpha 4 Protection with effect 1 September and look ahead to a smooth hand over.
We wish Graphite and their team the best and thank them for keeping us safe over the past year!

Edward Street Booms
Dear Residents,
The committee made a decision a few years ago. They decided to close the Edward Street gates during off-peak times. They consulted with Bad Boyz, our security service provider at the time. This decision followed a series of crime incidents that had plagued the Edward Street residents. Unfortunately, we have been instructed by Ekurhuleni to open these gates again. This is due to the relentless complaints from a handful of residents. Having more entrances and exits to the enclosure increases risk and more monitoring of vehicles and pedestrian movement is required.

LWRA will, as always, do our best to keep our residents safe.
