Our Mission in Security

At the Lakewest Residents Association, we understand that security is about more than just surveillance; it's about creating a safe, cohesive environment where every resident feels secure and connected. Our volunteer-driven Community Security team is dedicated to proactive measures that enhance the safety and quality of life for all residents within our enclosure.

What We Do

Our community faces unique security challenges due to its open and accessible nature. Here’s how we tackle these issues:

  • Regular Strategy Meetings: The LWRA Community Security team gathers several times a year to assess and strategize on enhancing safety at a community level.

Our Key Security Projects:

  1. Dedicated Patrol Vehicles

    • Around-the-Clock Patrols: We operate three tactical vehicles patrolled by seasoned security officers familiar with every corner of Lakewest.
    • Funded by Residents: This project is supported by approximately 500 households through our Localized Security Scheme (LSS), which is pivotal in maintaining and expanding our vehicle fleet.

  2. License Plate Recognition (LPR) Cameras

    • Advanced Monitoring: In collaboration with Graphite Security, we've deployed a network of LPR cameras that monitor and automatically flag suspicious vehicles entering our area.
    • Community-Wide Network: This system links with neighboring communities for a comprehensive safety net.

  3. Community CCTV Network

    • Real-Time Monitoring: Utilizing AI technology, our CCTV network provides instant alerts to our patrol units, ensuring quick response to any suspicious activity.
    • Expandable Infrastructure: Residents are encouraged to connect their personal cameras to our network, enhancing coverage and collective security.

  • Role of Private Security: While individual homes are the responsibility of homeowners, our community-wide initiatives focus on preventing criminal access to our neighborhood at large.
  • Graphite Security's Role: Their operations are funded by Contributing residents. The Community Patrols are distinctly marked and focus solely on community-wide security tasks.

Special Notice 📢

Transition to Graphite Security: Starting September 1, 2024, Graphite Security will take over our security operations previously handled by Bad Boyz. This new partnership aims to enhance our security measures and extend our capabilities to better serve the Lakewest community.
